The 60's — a great time to be a kid!
You could spend all Saturday morning watching your favourite cartoons. Here are some of the classic shows I watched and loved as a child. They sure don't make them like this anymore.

33⅓ RPM

Time to test the old brain box.
How many LP's did I own during my adolescent years?

There will be ongoing updates to this post as I try to recall my modest record album collection.

Well, here goes...

July 4th additions: City to City; Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me The Pliers; Dear Friends; How Can You Be In Two Places At Once When You're Not Anywhere At All

Total Albums to date: 143

Bartholomew Woods comment:
Upon learning that I was attempting to catalog my LP collection, my friend Brian sent me an email. He advised me that his brother, Gary was an avid record collector in the Seventies.

Brian estimated that his brother's collection numbered between 4,000 and 5,000 LP's. That's amazing! I can honestly say that my album collection was around 200 (maybe 250). Modest in comparison.
Plus a few eight-tracks as well.

Below is a compilation of LP's and CD's I can remember purchasing since 1980.

July 11th addition: Mad Mad World

Total Albums to date: 46

Top Thirty Plus

In alphabetic order — here are my 'Top Thirty' songs of all time.

You might not like them. But then, this blog is about me.

Of course, this list could change. I may recall a classic from my past that should have been included in my Top Thirty.

Bartholomew Woods comment:
It was inevitable. I knew if I set a limit to my All-Time favourite songs I was bound to exceed it. I originally named this post Top Thirty because CFUN & CKLG (the two radio stations I listened to as a teenager) used to issue weekly 'Top 30' playlists.

July 11th addition: Heroes — David Bowie

Anamnesis — XXX

"the recollection or remembrance of the past; reminiscence." These posts will include my recollection of people, places, things and events that were mainstream or commonplace in my youth.

Most disappeared, faded away, or are just not popular anymore.
I remember the.....

James Bond Aston Martin

Bartholomew Woods comment:
I was very envious of my Blazer friend Ed who owned this cool-looking toy when we were kids. Of his Corgi car collection this was the one I most wanted to play with.

Who wouldn't? It had machine guns that popped out of the front grill, a shield to protect the occupants from enemy fire in the rear, and best of all, an ejector seat to dispose of unwanted passengers.

Happy Birthday Ed!

Song:  Goldfinger
